Вучич заявил, что подписал текст следующего содержания: «На основании ст. 116, п. 5 конституции Республики Сербия, подаю в отставку с должности президента республики». Он уточнил, что отставка направляется в скупщину (парламент), а его спикер Ана Брнабич будет временно исполнять обязанности президента.
